12 여호와를 자기 하나님으로 삼은 나라, 곧 하나님께서 자기 기업으로 택하신 백성은 복이 있도다.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His inheritance.

13 여호와께서 하늘에서 굽어보시며 모든 인생을 살피심이여,

13 The Lord looks down from heaven; He sees all the children of mankind.

14 곧 그가 거하시는 곳에서 세상의 모든 사람들을 내려다보시는도다.

14 From where He dwells, He looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 그는 그들 모두의 마음을 지으시며 그들이 하는 일을 다 살피시는도다.

15 He forms the hearts of them all; He observes all their works.

16 많은 군대로 구원받는 왕이 없으며, 용사가 큰 힘으로 구출받는 것도 아니로다.

16 A king is not saved by the size of his army, nor is a warrior rescued by great strength.

17 말은 구원을 이루기에 헛된 것이며, 그 큰 힘으로도 사람을 건지지 못하는도다.

17 A horse is a false hope for salvation; even by its great strength, it cannot deliver.

18 보라, 여호와의 눈은 그를 경외하는 자들, 곧 그의 인자하심을 바라는 자들에게 있나니,

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love,

19 이는 그들의 영혼을 사망에서 건지시고, 굶주림 가운데서도 그들을 살게 하려 하심이로다.

19 to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine.

20 우리의 영혼이 여호와를 기다리며, 그는 우리의 도움과 방패시로다.

20 Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.

21 우리의 마음이 그를 기뻐함은 우리가 그의 거룩한 이름을 의지하였기 때문이로다.

21 For our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His holy name.

22 여호와여, 우리가 주를 바라는 대로 주의 인자하심을 우리에게 베푸소서.

22 Let Your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You.
